- Responsibilities
- Manage our deal pipeline from founder intro email all the way to closed deal (investment docs signed and funds wired to target company)
- Executing and iterating on our deal launch checklist
- Doing whatever you can to optimize our current North Star metric: deals published to our members
- Potentially recruit, hire, and manage other deal leads
- Competencies
- Write deal memos in a collaborative process with founders, other admins, and our investor memo review group
- Ability to execute checklists and propose/implement process improvements
- Ability to interact with founders to gather necessary information and deal documentation
- We get really excited about candidates who have any of the following
- Passionate about analysis of private investments, especially in VC space
- Public body of work, ideally in written form (email newsletter, twitter account, YouTube channel, etc.).
- Wants to found a company that raises from angels and/or VCs
- Has the desire to angel invest
- Is currently angel investing and wants to dramatically increase their experience managing deals with an institutional grade process
- Wants to launch their own syndicate and/or fund
- Has had a VC internship or role
- Wants visibility in front of >1,000 angel investors
- Internalized that documentation is automation
- Likes to learn in public
- Logistics
